IFMRS 2025 Updates: Welcome to the International Food Marketing Research Symposium 2025 in Athens!

We are approaching the highly anticipated International Food Marketing Research Symposium (IFMRS) 2025, to be held from June 17 to 19, 2025, at Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece, in Athens.

Co-organized by the Center of Excellence in Food, Tourism & Leisure (CoEFTL) of The American College of Greece Research Center (ACG-RC) in partnership with the MAPP Centre at Aarhus University, this premier global forum will bring together academics, industry experts, and innovators to explore solutions addressing today’s food industry challenges and dissect the latest trends in food marketing.

Abstract Submissions Closed.

The call for abstracts has closed and all selections for the upcoming conference have been made. Participants were invited to submit either:

  • extended abstracts (up to 2,500 words, to be included in conference proceedings and eligible for best paper awards) or
  • short abstracts (up to 500 words, included in the program but not in conference proceedings and not eligible for awards).

Graduate students who will participate are eligible for the dedicated award for best student paper.

Conference Overview

  • Welcome Reception (June 17): Kick off the symposium at the historic ACG Plaka building, a perfect introduction to Athens’ blend of heritage and modernity.
  • Conference Sessions (June 18-19): Two full days featuring presentations on Consumer Behavior, Marketing Strategy, Agribusiness & Marketing, Pricing, Advertising/Promotion, Sustainability/Ethics, culminating with a dinner on June 19 at Panorama Restaurant.
  • Post-Conference Event (June 20): Excursion to the nearby islands of Hydra, Poros, and Aigina.
