This research highlights how the luxury resort in Messene is shaping the future of Greece’s tourism by focusing on high-end sports tourism, particularly in golf and quality leisure activities. The study examines the resort’s success in attracting the “elite” sport tourist, positioning itself as a premier destination for elite sports tourism while promoting active participation in a resort setting. This approach is redefining Greece’s tourism offerings beyond the traditional mass tourism model.
