Abstract

The timing instructors receive official end-of-term course evaluations allows little to no time for implementing substantive improvements for next semester. As an additional, ongoing communication channel, instructors can receive informal feedback from students throughout the term via anonymous questionnaires: before the first day, to establish rapport and understand learning needs; mid-semester, to fine-tune a course already in progress, tailor teaching methods, enhance learning, and foster a sense of agency in students; on the last day, to ask course-specific questions not included in course evaluations. This presentation showcases results from a case study conducted at an American college in Greece, and explores the process of ongoing dialogue with students and the implementation of these results.
