Abstract
This presentation outlines a case study from a L4 Human Learning and Memory course at an American college in Greece, highlighting how Quizizz, an online Classroom Response System (CRS), enhances interactivity. It examines its application as a pedagogical tool, serving various educational purposes: as an icebreaker to foster a supportive learning environment; to introduce and warm up discussions on key course topics; assessment of and for learning; to demonstrate classic experiments in-class; and to gather immediate feedback from students. The presentation also explores the advantages of incorporating CRS into psychology education, including increased student engagement, improved comprehension of complex concepts, incorporation of gamification elements, and improved feedback mechanisms for both students and instructors. By detailing this case study, the session seeks to offer insights into incorporating technology in educational settings, and demonstrating how CRS can revolutionize traditional lecture formats into engaging and interactive learning opportunities.
