Dimitrios Liossis is an experienced Sports performance and development Manager-Researcher with a tracked record of working in the strength & conditioning, sports performance, sports management, and fitness industry for more than ten years. Highly skilled in strength and conditioning for a wide variety of sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, swimming, rugby, track & field, tennis and combat sports as well as personal/fitness training for the general population. Conceptualized and launched the first (to his knowledge) sports performance and development model in Greece as part of his job duties at Deree-The American College of Greece. He manages, coordinates and runs the Sports Performance and Development Program at Deree-The American College of Greece by integrating both sports management and applied sports science skills. His educational background incorporates a PhD with A++ Distinction in Physical Activity & Sport at the University of The Basque Country, Master’s of Science degrees in both Sports & Leisure Management and Applied Sports & Exercise Science as well as credentials of professional expertise and distinction issued by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (USA).

Research Interests: Post-activation performance enhancement, velocity-based training, WADA governance, sports policy, doping in sport, proximity to failure training strategies, youth strength training, sports performance, sports physiology.
